A Matter of Balance is a program designed to reduce the fear of falling and
increase activity levels among older adults. Are you looking to improve your
balance? This class is for you! A Matter of Balance can help people improve
their quality of life and remain independent. The 8-week series workshop
includes eight two-hour sessions for a small group led by two trained
facilitators. We ask all participants to attend at least 6 of the 8 sessions.

During the class, participants learn to:
• View falls as controllable
• Set goals for increasing activity

• Exercise to increase strength and balancePre-register: Space is limited. Please call the Manistee Friendship Society
