Teaching Kids Mindful Eating

Wednesday, July 17 2024
11:30 - 12:30 am ET

Zoom Webinar

Mindfulness can be defined as paying attention in a particular way; on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally. Research has shown that practicing mindfulness is effective in reducing stress-related symptoms such as worry, depression and physical tension, and may be helpful in managing chronic conditions.

This is a class specifically for parents and caregivers to learn the benefits of eating with mindful awareness, increase awareness in portion sizes for children and learn about competent eating. This class will aim to build skills that will help young children develop lifelong healthy eating habits by using mindfulness. Food is so much more than just fuel. Mealtime routines not only build strong relationships with people, but also a healthy relationship with food. This training is designed to encourage ways for parents and caregivers to be responsive feeders to infants and toddlers.

Cost: FREE

This session will be available over Zoom as a live webinar.
