The Michigan State University ExtensionField Crops Virtual Breakfast Series kicked off its seventh season in March and will continue through Sept. 19, 2024. So far, timely topics and contact with Michigan State University (MSU) specialists have carried growers through an uncommonly warm spring, a later season frost, alfalfa weevil, weed management and more challenges this year. As each season develops, different challenges present themselves. The MSU Extension Field Crops Virtual Breakfast Series helps producers, consultants, retailers and other agriculture professionals stay informed, all in the span of one hour each week. Participants can join from almost anywhere (yes, including from the cab of a tractor) for the topics and a quick weather update. In addition, restricted use pesticide (RUP) credits and certified crop advisor (CCA) continuing education units are available for live attendees.
